The column
A start is a latch. The ball either leaves through it or it does not.
We do not sell curvature. We mark whether the leave is inside Wren's gate on this grain, in this air.
Face can look pretty at the flag and still have left late. That is a LATE column. Players call it a "push that came back." The board calls it a whistle after the shift started. Nell writes the humidity. Dexter writes the face delay. Wren rules the gate again if the hardware can move.
On-gate leaves are boring and that is the tour we pay. Fort Campbell wind will still interview the column. If the enamel says GATE, it means we watched the leave, not the highlight.
